Bromine emergency treatment method:
1. Emergency treatment of leakage
Evacuate personnel from the leaked contaminated area to a safe area, and prohibit irrelevant personnel from entering the contaminated area. It is recommended that emergency responders wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing (complete isolation) specially recommended by the manufacturer. Do not come into direct contact with the leak, and stop the leak when it is safe to do so. Mix with sand, dry lime or soda ash, collect and transport to waste disposal sites for disposal. It can also be rinsed with a large amount of water, and the diluted rinse water can be put into the waste water system.
2. Protective measures
Respiratory Protection: A gas mask or supplied-air helmet must be worn when possible exposure to its vapors or fumes. It is recommended to wear self-contained breathing apparatus during emergency rescue or escape.
Eye Protection: Wear chemical safety goggles.
Protective clothing: Wear work clothes (made of anti-corrosion materials).
Hand Protection: Wear rubber gloves.
Others: After work, shower and change. Store poison-contaminated clothes separately and wash them before use. Practice good hygiene.
3. First aid measures
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse with running water for 10 minutes or with 2% sodium bicarbonate solution. If burns occur, seek medical attention.
Eye Contact: Immediately lift eyelids and flush with running water or saline for at least 15 minutes. seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Quickly leave the scene to fresh air. Give oxygen if breathing is difficult. Once breathing stops, begin CPR immediately. seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately when the patient is awake, and drink milk or egg white. Get medical attention immediately.
Extinguishing methods: water, carbon dioxide, sand.
